چکیده

Rice is known to be a nutrient exhaustive crop and the application of silicon (Si) has been reported for better utilization plant nutrients from soil. Hence, response phosphorus (P) could enhanced by co-fertilization Si P. The present study evaluates dry matter accumulation, grain yield, uptake, nutrient-use efficiency P in aerobic rice. Therefore, field experiment was conducted at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India factorial randomized block design, treatments comprised four levels (0, 40, 80, 120 kg ha–1) 30, 60, 90 P2O5 application. results revealed significant effect on uptake accumulation yield rice significantly higher with combination ha–1 closely followed 80 60 ha–1. rate increase due different doses ranged between 7.6 25.6 % over control. A strong positive relationship observed concentrations uptakes nutrients, barring zinc. Application concentration Si, nitrogen, P, potassium 25, 16.5, 47, 25 %, respectively, Overall, addition management productivity use

Salicylic Acid Mitigates the Effects of Drought and Salinity on Nutrient and Dry Matter Accumulation of Linseed

Salicylic acid can mitigate the impacts of salinity and drought stresses in crops. To study the effect of salicylic acid under iso-osmotic drought and salt stresses on nutrients absorption and growth of linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.), an experiment was conducted based on a completely randomized design with three replications in Yasouj University in 2016. Treatments included salinity and droug...

Effects of Phosphorus and Copper on Factors Influencing Nutrient Uptake, Photosynthesis, and Grain Yield of Wheat

Application of large amounts of phosphorus fertilizers is used to enhance early plant growth and yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). This practice can lead to an accumulation of phosphorus in soil and a reduced copper uptake by plants which may result in a reduction of plastocyanin concentrations in chloroplasts. As a result, photosynthetic rates and crop yield can be adversely affected. Whi...

Improving Yield and Nutrient Uptake Potentials of Japonica and Indica Rice Varieties with Nitrogen Fertilization

The most important problem in achieving high yields in rice is how to increase the nitrogen (N) absorption at each growth stage without reducing the percentage of ripened grains. Proper amount and timing of application could reduce N losses and increase fertilizer use efficiency while cost of production is also reduced and yield is increased. In order to avoid losses and to use soil-and fertili...
